Mother’s Day

Many countries all over the world celebrate the second Sunday of May as Mother’s day.

Mother’s day is celebrated with a lot of gusto in my home. On mother’s day, Dad makes breakfast for mom while me and Swapan gather flowers and make a pretty bouquet for her. On Mother’s day, mom gets to sleep until eleven which is a rare treat for her gets, and she has breakfast in bed. The entire day, we let mom rest and in the night we all go out for dinner to a place that is mom’s choice. We have two guests for Dinner-Dad’s mom and Mom’s mom. Dad gifts them each new dress, his way of saying thanks.

This year Swapan and I decided to make mom something really special for Mother’s day. Swapan baked a cake for her while I made a photo frame and gifted it to her with a picture of all of us in it. Mom said they were the best gifts she had ever received.
