The Cloud with A Silver Lining

Have you ever paid attention to a rain cloud? If you have, you must have noticed a silver outline all around it. That silver lining is nothing but the Sun waiting to come out. In fact, there are times when the Sun manages to push through a bit more and it appears like a halo or rather, divine light that is falling on Earth.

Life has its ups and downs and no matter how hard we try we cannot keep riding the highs and avoid the lows. Sure enough, the lows hit us with a blow that really shakes us and despair has a habit of staying longer than happiness or at least it always appears to. Yet, every cloud has a silver lining and just as the Sun is waiting to spread its sunny magic and dispel the dark clouds so also happiness is waiting to take us by surprise once the trials and tribulations are over and done with. All we have to do is to keep the faith in ourselves and in God.

Trying times bring out the best in us and difficulties are actually nothing but hidden opportunities. The Sun can never be gone for too long and neither can the good times so we must never give up hope. “Take your share of trouble, but never do complain; for if you want the rainbow you must also take the rain.”
