Chocolates: My Sweet Addiction
The very thought of chocolates makes my mouth water. I love all kinds of chocolates. My mother teases me by saying that I don’t have a sweet tooth but several sweet teeth.
When I went to high school, mom started giving me money to buy lunch at the school canteen. Instead of buying food, I would buy chocolates. Soon, I got used to eating chocolates for lunch. On the occasional day that mom did send me home cooked lunch, I used to feel desperate for my regular doze of chocolate.
One day my bother Sam saw me stuffing my pocket with chocolates at lunch. He told my mom and my mom was shocked to know what I had been doing with my lunch money. Mom made sure to give me packed lunch after that and that was the end of my chocolate addiction. At lunch time, I craved it. In fact, in the last period before lunch I actually used to count the minutes till lunchtime.
I had been saving money in my piggy bank to buy a new ball but I was so desperate for chocolate that I emptied it out completely and bought chocolate. when mom came to know about it, she was shocked and she took me to the psychiatrist for my addiction. The psychiatrist evaluated me and asked me if I was proud of what I had done. I was not, I knew I needed help and with the psychiatrist’s and my parents I was able to overcome my sweet addiction.
